About
I am a visual artist based in Greece. My artistic practice is grounded in intense gesture and bold brushwork. My works often carry a chaotic energy, yet I continuously search for moments of pause—stillness within movement, calm within urgency. This tension remains central to my process.
I see painting as a negotiation between abstraction and figuration, where meaning remains fluid and images resist final resolution. Starting from abstract, often dark fields, I work through layers of accumulation and erasure, allowing forms to emerge gradually rather than being predetermined.
Peculiar figures often surface from within these turbulent spaces—unstable, shifting presences that seem called forth by the paint itself. Alongside them, more structured patterns function as internal systems that both disrupt the image and act as intervals within the bold gestures.
For years, my career in design and illustration taught me to distill complexity into its essence—to strip an idea down to its most direct and resonant form. My artistic path has since evolved from digital and visual communication systems into material, conceptual, and spatial investigations, working primarily through painting, mixed media, and collage.
A pivotal moment following my illustration career came in 2023, when I illustrated two poetry books. That same year, my first solo exhibition took place in Paris at Maison de la Grèce, where I presented a series of large-scale paintings and an installation alongside the book illustrations. The exhibition opening also marked the official presentation of both publications.
Since then, I have participated in group exhibitions in Venice (2023) and Rome with ITSLIQUID Group (2024), as well as in the 1st and 2nd Annual ACS Athens Spotlight Exhibition (2025 & 2026), which I also curated.
