“Waterfall”, 2025

Metallic panel, acrylic markers on
100 prints on Forex PVC, rice paper
135 x 100 cm

Waterfall is an interactive installation that invites the audience to share a thought, feeling, or fragment of experience emerging from the present moment.

The work originates from the painting “Goodbye” (2025), created with acrylics, charcoal, and ink. The image was digitally enlarged by 300% and divided into 100 sections, each printed on a Forex PVC panel. This magnification dissolves the original image into a soft, blurred field of color.

Over each panel, hand-drawn abstract forms were added using acrylic markers. Their sharp lines contrast with the printed surface, creating layered compositions that interact with the surrounding space in new ways.

The panels are suspended from a metal structure, from which transparent sheets of paper descend. Visitors write their reflections on these sheets and attach them to the installation. As the texts accumulate, they form a downward flow — a waterfall of voices — revealing a collective narrative composed in real time.

Waterfall (First Draft Sketch)
This initial sketch captures the genesis of Waterfall. The original concept featured plexiglass panels, but I opted for thick PVC plastic to preserve the opacity of the acrylic layers.

“Goodbye” (Divided into 144 Sections)
Goodbye, segmented into 144 rectangular sections for printing. I then selected 100 to overpaint with acrylics, transforming the prints into more abstract forms.
